Discover what we do
Chiropractors are the non-surgical spine and musculoskeletal care experts. Ours is a health profession that’s concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders arising in the musculoskeletal system, and any effects brought about by these disorders on the function of the patient’s general health and nervous system.
Chiropractors focus on how the structure of the body (primarily the pelvis and the spine) relate to its function (coordinated by the nervous system), and analyse how changes in this relationship affect the preservation and restoration of an individual’s overall health.
Although disorders of the spine are our speciality, we also diagnose and treat other areas of the musculoskeletal system (ankles, feet, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, jaw). Consulting on issues such as headaches, neck pain and back pain, we treat both muscles and joints with an emphasis on the use of manual treatments such as spinal adjustment and manipulation of joints and soft-tissue.
What Kinds of pain can we help with?
The key message is that if you have a musculoskeletal pain or symptoms then we can probably help. Symptoms can be as diverse as chronic aches and pains in specific localities or persistent headaches, amongst others. We have the passion, the experience and the tools for the job. If we are not able to help, we will point you in the right direction as we have a close cooperative relationship with some of the best healthcare experts.
If your aim is to live a healthy life than we can help you by making sure you have optimal spinal and musculoskeletal health and function.
If you are interested in improving your performance at sport, we can help you get there.
Do I have to be in pain to see a chiropractor?
Do you wait until your car breaks down, smoke rises from the bonnet, or lights start flashing on your dashboard before taking it to a mechanic?
Similarly, coming for a chiropractic check-up is like taking your car to a mechanic for a check-up and service. When you visit us, you provide us with a background story about your body—previous injuries, trauma, and medical history. You also share how your body is being used, whether it’s for sports, work, leisure activities, exercise, or simply lounging around. Additionally, you inform us about any pain, stiffness, fatigue, or feelings of ageing you may be experiencing.
Based on this information, we conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine the condition of your body. We evaluate if everything is functioning as it should and identify any components of your musculoskeletal system that require attention. Our goal is to help you optimise THE ONLY BODY YOU’’LL EVER HAVE and ensure it lasts as long as possible. We provide guidance on how to get the most out of your body and maintain its health and longevity.
By proactively addressing any potential issues and maintaining the well-being of your body, you can avoid waiting for a breakdown and enjoy optimal performance and vitality.
“YOU DON’T KNOW
WHAT
YOU DON’T KNOW!”
We work backwards from symptoms and try to figure out what causes injuries. Therefore we can do an assessment on people and identify risk factors that can be addressed to prevent injuries in the first place.
